This project, for First Solar, was for the balance of systems at the new 102MW Nyngan Solar PV Power Plant, covering an area of some 250ha in rural NSW, and consisting of some 1,350,000 solar photovoltaic modules.
The works comprised the installation, testing and commissioning of: cabling for the power conversion station and switchgears (~160km); DC whip cables (~40km); 1,062 combiner boxes; fibre optic (~24km) and earthing (~54km) cables; SCADA instrumentation; and meteorological stations.
The project was completed in April 2020.
